So the other night I was sitting on the couch with J. It was midnight and we had just finished watching a movie and out of no where the sky turns from black to bright orange! I was not really paying attention and thought maybe a cloud had parted and the moon came through, but no.....
I just happened to have it on the news when the movie was over and I hear....Shuttle is now 4 miles out.....and then it hit me! The shuttle was finally launching!! Woo Hoo!!
Since moving here, I've seen several launches, but this was the first night launch and it was absolutely amazing. The whole sky was orange and I stood there in awe. I tried to take some pictures, but my camera is a little outdated.
This picture does no justice. I was a little late in snapping my shot, so all I got was the tail end of the launch right before the shuttle went into orbit. Too neat.
wow...that is awesome! I can only imagine how beautiful it was! :) Hope you had a great weekend pretty lady!
ReplyDeleteWow that's really cool, I would love to have seen that!
ReplyDeleteShuttle launches are SO cool! I don't live very close to them, but I can still see them from my house if I look in the right direction at the right time.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cool thing! Lots of pluses to the move, i see!
